Česko-polsko-slovenské turné Albert VIla quartet: 7. – 17. 3. 2012

Přední španělský jazzový kytarista Albert Vila představuje svůj nový kvartet se třemi skvělými hudebníky ze Španělska a Česka: Marco Mezquida (piáno), Martin Novák (bicí) a Petr Dvorský (kontrabas).

Albert Vila účinkuje ve Španělsku a v dalších evropských krajinách včetně Německa, Itálie a České republiky, kde je velmi vřele vítán diváky i kritikou.

Albert Vila si pořád a dále upevňuje svoje stálé místo na evropské jazzové scéně – v září 2012 vyhrál první místo na mezinárodní soutěži v kompozici Jazz Hoeilaart  v Belgii. Na začátku října 2012 vydal CD, na kterém hraje také renomovaný bubeník Jorge Rossy.

Think of an hour long musical journey, inviting your ears to a new sensation at every note that passes by. Tactile, the latest CD of Albert Vila, is just that. It ́s carefully constructed, composition moves from intimate to energetic, from melodic to rhythmic, from contemplation to outburst- traveling through a wide range of musical landscapes along the way. Hard to grasp, exciting to listen.

Albert started his musical studies at the ‘Taller de musics (Barcelona) , with Andy Rossety and J.Luis Gamez. He then continued to study Jazz Guitar at the Amsterdam Conservatorium where he studied with Jesse Van Ruller. In 2004 he was awarded with the first prize for Best Composition in the Dutch Jazz competition, while in 2005 he studied at the Manhattan School of music in New York with Rodney Jones. In the summer of 2006 he decided to move back to his hometown Barcelona, to start a new project: the Albert Vila Quintet. With this quintet, he won in Donosti “Debajazz contest” in 2007 and in the same year the Fresh Sound Records released the debut album of the Albert Vila Quintet: “Foreground Music”, with ten original songs written by Albert Vila.

In 2011 released his second album called “Tactile” and includes seven new songs. In 2012 his new CD a trio album with Jazz Standards will come out, featuring: Jorge Rossy on drums and Reinier Elizarde on bass. For more information: http://www.albertvilamusic.com
